1. Platform presentation
TestMonApp is a platform allowing mobile application developers to recruit testers from a community of developers. These terms govern the use of the platform accessible at https://testmonapp.com.
2. Legal notices
The TestMonApp platform is published by KG-CODE, based in Quebec, Canada.
The domain name is registered with LWS. The website hosting is provided by Hostinger.
Contact: contact@testmonapp.com.
3. Acceptance of terms and minimum age
Use of TestMonApp implies full and complete acceptance of these general terms of use. If you do not accept these terms, you must stop using the platform.
The platform is reserved for individuals aged at least 16 years. By using TestMonApp, you declare that you have the required age and the legal capacity to contract.
4. Registration, account and closure
To create a testing campaign, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and a password. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and all actions taken from your account.
You can request to close your account at any time by contacting our team. Closure results in the deletion or anonymization of your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations (see Article 10). Unused purchased points are not refunded upon closure.
TestMonApp reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account, without notice, in the event of non-compliance with these Terms of Use, fraudulent or abusive behavior, or usage that harms the platform or its users.
5. Testing campaigns
Campaign owners commit to:
- Provide accurate information about their application
- Define or modify targeted eligible countries for testing where applicable
- Not publish illicit, misleading, or offensive content
- Use testers' email addresses only within the scope of testing their application
- Not resell or share testers' data with third parties
- Not harass or send follow-up/reminder emails to testers (repeated solicitations, progress requests, installation reminders, etc.). TestMonApp automatically manages all reminders, notifications, and status follow-ups in a centralized manner. Sending direct spam or unsolicited follow-up emails is strictly forbidden and may result in campaign suspension.
TestMonApp is a testing platform with its own built-in automation (reminders, status notifications, installation proof requests) to ensure campaigns run smoothly. Owners must therefore avoid, as much as possible, directly contacting testers' personal email addresses, and should rely on the platform's built-in tools instead.
Validation and application ownership approval are conducted manually by our administration team within a maximum of 24 hours following submission. A confirmation email is automatically sent to the owner once the campaign is approved and made publicly visible.
6. Testers and quality obligations
Testers register freely for the campaigns of their choice. By submitting their email address, they agree that it will be transmitted to the owner of the campaign concerned, and to them alone.
By participating in a testing campaign, the tester commits to respecting the following obligations:
- Actually test the application after being accepted to a campaign, and provide sincere and constructive feedback to the owner when requested.
- Not apply to campaigns with no intention of testing the application.
- Not create multiple tester accounts to bypass restrictions or stack benefits.
- Not solicit, demand, or harass a campaign owner for points/credits (see Article 6.7).
6.1 Proof of installation and automatic removal
The owner of a campaign can request the accepted tester to provide a proof of installation of the application. In the absence of providing this proof within the designated timeframe (generally 48 hours), the tester can be automatically removed from the campaign. A tester excluded from a campaign cannot apply to it again.
6.2 Tester certification
TestMonApp may assign, at its sole discretion, a status of certified tester to certain members of its community. This status is a token of trust; it can be withdrawn at any time in the event of non-compliance with these conditions.
6.3 Flagging system
Campaign owners can flag a tester who does not respect their commitments (absence of feedback, inappropriate behavior, spam). Each flag validated by the TestMonApp team is recorded and affects the tester's reliability score, publicly visible on the platform.
Reliability levels are as follows:
- New - no data available (first test(s))
- Reliable - less than 20% of flags
- Average - between 20% and 60% of flags
- Low - more than 60% of flags
- Suspect - flag currently under review
6.4 Blacklist
A tester who has accumulated 5 validated flags or more will be automatically blacklisted on the platform. The consequences are as follows:
- Their email address will be blocked, and they will not be able to register for any new campaigns.
- Their application will be automatically rejected upon trying to register.
- Campaign owners are notified if an already accepted tester is blacklisted.
TestMonApp reserves the right to blacklist a tester at any time in the event of flagrantly abusive behavior, without waiting for the 5-flag threshold to be reached.
6.5 Notification and dispute
The tester receives an automatic email for each validated flag, informing them of their current score and the associated risks. In the event of disputing a flag they believe to be unjustified, the tester can contact our team at contact@testmonapp.com. The team will review the case and may invalidate the flag if the provided elements justify it.
6.6 Geolocation for campaign eligibility
Some campaigns are restricted to specific countries, defined by the campaign owner. To verify that a tester is eligible for a geographically targeted campaign, TestMonApp may determine their country from their IP address at the time of application. This location data is used only for this purpose; see the Privacy Policy for details on this processing.
6.7 Soliciting points/credits is prohibited
Points/credits ("gifts") that a campaign owner may offer to a tester are given entirely at their discretion: they are never an owed, guaranteed, or negotiable counterpart. TestMonApp is first and foremost a community platform, built on mutual support between developers and testers, not a paid service.
It is strictly forbidden for a tester to demand, request, or insistently solicit points from a campaign owner, whether in application messages, test feedback, or through any other channel. Any such behavior - especially if it amounts to harassment - exposes the tester to being flagged, suspended, or permanently blocked from the platform, without notice.
7. Monthly leaderboard reward
TestMonApp organizes a monthly ranking of the most active testers ("Top testers"), calculated on the basis of a score (1 point per accepted application + 2 points per installation proof submitted + 4 points per relevant review submitted).
A total prize pool of 50 CAD is distributed among the top three in the ranking:
- 1st: 25 CAD
- 2nd: 15 CAD
- 3rd: 10 CAD
Rewards are paid between the 1st and the 6th of the following month, via bank transfer or PayPal, after contact by email. The winner is responsible for providing accurate details and declaring, if applicable, these sums to their tax administration. TestMonApp reserves the right to disqualify any participant in the event of fraud or score manipulation, and to modify the amounts or interrupt this program at any time.
8. Services and paid purchases
8.1 Concierge Service
The Concierge Service is a paid service through which the TestMonApp team recruits testers on behalf of the campaign owner. Applicable rates and optional add-ons (notably priority support) can be viewed directly on the Concierge Service page and are indicated at the time of ordering.
Tester Origins and Google Play Configuration: TestMonApp does not provide testers targeted to specific countries; recruited testers come from all over the world. The developer's application must be configured on the Google Play Console to be available and accessible worldwide ("All countries and territories"). Furthermore, test access is not granted through closed groups or automated global lists: each recruited tester must be added individually by the developer in their Google Play Console (via the provided email address).
The target number of testers for the Concierge Service commitment corresponds to the initial quota set upon subscription. The subsequent purchase of extra slots/testers by the developer only increases the campaign capacity for the developer to fill themselves or via the organic community, and does not extend or expand the scope, duration, or obligations of the Concierge Service. This service is non-refundable once recruitment has begun, subject to Article 8.4.
8.2 Promotion (featured)
A campaign owner can purchase a featured promotion of their campaign for a specified period, in order to increase its visibility. The price and duration are indicated at the time of purchase.
8.3 Campaign slots
Creating campaigns may require the purchase of additional slots. The price is indicated at the time of purchase.
8.4 Payment and right of withdrawal
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices are indicated in US dollars (USD, unless otherwise stated) and may, where applicable, be increased by applicable taxes.
For developers billed in Euros (Eurozone) or Canadian Dollars (Canada), the amount in USD is converted at a fixed exchange rate determined by TestMonApp, reviewable at any time. The exact amount in your currency is displayed before payment confirmation.
Digital services and content (Concierge, points, promotion, slots) are provided immediately. In accordance with applicable regulations, by confirming your purchase, you request the immediate execution of the service and expressly waive your right of withdrawal once execution has begun. No refund is due for a service already executed, unless otherwise required by mandatory legal provisions.
9. Points system
TestMonApp features a points system allowing campaign owners to acquire credits and offer them to their testers. Two types of points coexist on the platform:
- Purchased points: credited after card payment via Stripe. They can be gifted to other users but are not withdrawable in cash.
- Earned points: received from another user (developer gift) or credited by the TestMonApp administration. These points are withdrawable in cash under the conditions described in Article 9.3.
9.1 Purchase of points
Points are purchased in US dollars (USD) according to the following fixed rate:
- 10 points = 1.00 USD
Predefined tiers are offered ($5 → 50 pts, $10 → 100 pts, $20 → 200 pts) as well as a custom amount from $1 to $500. Payment is securely processed by Stripe. Points are credited instantly after payment confirmation.
Any purchase of points is final and non-refundable once the points are credited to your account.
9.2 Gifting points (gift)
A user can gift part or all of their points to another user registered on the platform, within the following limits:
- Minimum amount: 5 points per gift
- Maximum amount: 500 points per gift
- It is prohibited to gift points to oneself
- The donor must have a sufficient balance
Points received as a gift feed the recipient's withdrawable balance and can be converted into cash (see Article 9.3).
9.3 Withdrawal of points
Only earned points (received from other users or credited by the administration) can be withdrawn. Points purchased directly by card are not withdrawable.
Conditions required to make a withdrawal:
- Have a withdrawable balance equivalent to at least $5 CAD (PayPal withdrawal)
- Not have a withdrawal request already pending processing
The conversion rate applied during a withdrawal is as follows:
- 10 earned points = 0.80 CAD (rate: $0.08/pt)
A 5% withdrawal fee applies to the gross amount, broken down as follows:
- 3% network and transfer fee (actual costs charged by PayPal)
- 2% platform fee
These fees are deducted from the gross amount to determine the net amount actually paid out; they do not affect the number of points debited from the withdrawable balance, nor the minimum threshold required (assessed on the gross amount). The gross / fee / net breakdown is shown before confirming each withdrawal request, in the confirmation email, and in the transaction history.
Example: 100 earned points → 8.00 CAD gross − 0.40 CAD fee (5%) = 7.60 CAD net paid.
9.4 Withdrawal payment methods
Two payout methods are available, each with its own minimum withdrawal amount (assessed on the gross amount):
- PayPal (minimum $5 CAD): payment to the PayPal email address indicated during the request. Available in all countries.
The user is responsible for the accuracy of the banking or payment details provided. TestMonApp cannot be held responsible for a payment made to incorrect details.
9.5 Processing and timeframes
Withdrawal requests are processed manually by the TestMonApp team within 3 to 6 business days. During this period, the corresponding points are debited from the withdrawable balance and suspended pending processing.
A "Flash withdrawal" option is offered when submitting the request, for an additional fixed fee of $0.50 CAD (on top of the 5% withdrawal fee above): processing time is then reduced to 1 to 3 business days. This timeframe is indicative and not a contractual guarantee.
In the event of a refusal of a withdrawal request (invalid details, suspicious activity, or other reason), the points are automatically credited back to the user's withdrawable balance. Any fees that would have applied (standard or flash withdrawal) are not charged in case of refusal. An explanatory note from the team may be attached to the refusal notification.
9.6 Abuses, fraud and balance audits
Any points balance acquired fraudulently or in violation of platform rules (creating multiple accounts, activity simulations, bypassing testing requirements, fake proofs, or collusive agreements) may be subject to an audit at any time by the TestMonApp team, including during the processing of a withdrawal request.
In the event of an anomaly or breach identified during this audit, TestMonApp will immediately execute a balance adjustment / redressment (deduction or cancellation of improperly earned points), refuse or cancel the concerned withdrawal, and, where applicable, suspend or permanently block the account without notice.
9.7 Taxation
Sums received by a user for points withdrawals or rewards constitute income for which declaration and eventual taxation are the sole responsibility of the user, in accordance with the legislation of their country of residence.
10. Personal data (GDPR)
TestMonApp, as the data controller, collects and processes the following personal data: email address, password (stored encrypted), country, IP address, information related to campaigns, tests, feedbacks, and payments.
This data is processed for the following purposes: account and campaign management, connection between owners and testers, processing of payments and withdrawals, fraud prevention, and service communication. The legal bases are the execution of the contract (these Terms of Use), compliance with legal obligations, and the legitimate interest of the platform.
Recipients: a tester's email address is only transmitted to the owner of the campaign they register for. Payment data is processed by our subcontractor Stripe. Data is never sold to third parties.
Retention period: data is retained for the time necessary to provide the service, then deleted or anonymized, subject to legal retention periods (notably accounting for payments).
Your rights: in accordance with the GDPR, you have a right of access, rectification, erasure, limitation, objection, and portability of your data. You can exercise these rights, or lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, by contacting us at contact@testmonapp.com.
11. Cookies
The platform uses cookies strictly necessary for its operation (notably session and security cookies), which do not require consent. It also uses, with your agreement collected via the consent banner displayed during your first visit, advertising measurement cookies (Google Ads) and invitation to leave a review (Trustpilot). See the Privacy Policy for details.
12. Intellectual property
The content of the platform (code, design, texts) is the property of TestMonApp. Content submitted by users (logos, descriptions) remains their property; they grant TestMonApp a license to display it on the platform.
13. Service availability and force majeure
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". TestMonApp does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and may suspend access for maintenance operations or technical reasons. TestMonApp's liability cannot be engaged in case of non-performance due to a case of force majeure or an event beyond its reasonable control.
14. Limitation of liability
TestMonApp acts as an intermediary between application owners and testers. We cannot be held responsible for exchanges between these parties, nor for the quality of feedback provided by testers.
15. Applicable law and disputes
These Terms of Use are governed by the law applicable in the province of Quebec (Canada). In the event of a dispute, the parties will endeavor to find an amicable solution before any legal action. In the absence of agreement, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts of Quebec (Canada), subject to mandatory rules for consumer protection.
16. Severability and completeness
If any provision of these Terms of Use is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will retain their full force and effect. These Terms of Use constitute the entire agreement between the user and TestMonApp relating to the use of the platform.
17. Modification of the Terms of Use
TestMonApp reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Users will be informed by email in the event of a substantial modification.
